Week 8 EOC : The Adventure (letter)

When I saw the Eiffel Tower in the horizon from my balloon, Passepartout told me we need to stop somewhere. As we got lower the smell of fine cheese filled the air and then accordion became clear, we stopped on a building a street away from the Eiffel Tower. Passerpartout began flirting with some of the ladies on the street, I already liked where this was going so I decided to enjoy Paris too. I asked Passepartout why are we in Paris, and just like that he was focused. He said that what we were getting is important for our business, he then escorted the ladies and myself to a baker shop two blocks up. And from one block away the smell in the air was refined with the sweetest bread in the world, I got some wine and we passed a few bottles around and we went into the bakery. From here the plan was to have the ladies charm up the workers so my partner and I could get in the back, we crept around and got to the kitchen. I quickly packaged some of the bread and took the batches in the oven, Passepartout went into another room in search of the recipe. Suddenly I hear a deep voice yell "Hey!" and as I looked up, there were four buff men in baker apparel in front of my way out. Already drunk with their bread in my bag I grabbed some flour, slowly approached them and began the fight. Quickly I blinded two of them with the flour and called out to Passepartout, and we brawled for our freedom! It was a tough fight still with two of them handicapped, but the moment more came is when we fled. I knocked a fridge down and that caused the electricity to spark a flame, the sight of fire made me run out even quicker. My partner and I left while managing to save two beautiful ladies that helped us with the plan. We ran away and back to our balloon, and once in and floating away we had all had a good laugh. Passepartout told me that this recipe was his grandmothers before her business got bought out, "the bread they made is amazing yes, but grandma meant for pretzels that would make you forget your name if you did not write it down.", the thought of something so good had to be shared with the world. We drank some wine, had some bread and some good French romance with the two ladies. That experience that made this snack possible is in every crunch and bite taken.

Week 7 EOC - The Pitch

My Phileas Fogg snack is going to be salted pretzel sticks with cream cheese or spinach artichoke dip to go along with them. These pretzel sticks were founded in a French bakery that is not on the map. The pretzel will be 5 inches long and come in packs of 10-12 pretzels. Packaged then boxed,I believe a small box would be interesting to play with for a little bit, builds easy small talk and brings a satisfying snack to company some alcohol. The dip can be packaged inside the box too, either kept refrigerated, or have the artichoke heated up. Having a conversation and eating a simple snack that is easy to snack on can be great for men as they don't have to set a lot up for when talking to people, they just need to have the snack and be able to communicate with people at the bar. Phileas Fogg has been to many amazing places across the world, he has found both exotic and familiar foods that he believes are fantastic enough to share with the world, these pretzels from France is a crunchy salted bread (which France is renown for) that can satisfy any taste buds.

Week 6 EOC: me x3

old spice
Image result for old spice

I identify with old spice because they are one of the best smelling body washes out there for men. The commercials they do are very funny and manly, which I like to aim for, manly. The body washes they have are sometimes silly but great scented smells, some are mount Everest, Fiji waters, fox crest, wolf thorn, and hawk ridge. I feel that they aim for men who want to smell like a man even if they are just a teenager or young adult. They make me feel confident about myself, through my smell which is awesome for someone who showers once or twice a day.

energizer batteries

I like energizer because I need batteries in my industry, everything is running off a battery to my sound pressure level meter, D.A.W, radios and even one of my dads old school guitar cabs. Energizer is a good battery because they last an extremely long time, I have 4 rechargeable batteries of there's along with the charging station for them. I use these batteries for my controllers on my Xbox one too also, I would probably have to switch packs after five days of using them they are great.

android cell phone

I am an android man over the iphone nation. I like androids because they  of how open the interface is, it's accessible and you can see all your apps, contacts and favorite apps just on the home screen. They are also good with the data usage, I get warnings of my limit way before so I can watch my usage; another thing about that is that I get coverage back for using the coverage too I really like that customer reward service. I wasn't aware of that feature until I got a message recently. With my Samsung Galaxy S6, the far left tab is dedicated to flip board, which I have only started using since it came with this phone. Flip board is a customizable news source that I can always look at whenever I feel like it since its right there on my phone. With androids, I just feel like I have access to everything I need right in my pocket.

Week 5 EOC: Social Networks and Job Hunting

Facebook has allowed for companies to hire people from their website. Finding workers online have been a thing, there are other sites that do just that, hire online. When a company does this however, they are looking for those who are social, willing to speak of their work and would be considered and "average" person. They are looking for ambassadors that can promote their product the way someone who actually uses (for example) a camera, or controller or any type of gear. When the consumer is looking for something interesting, the best salesperson is a friendly one who can represent a company and product. Although Facebook has a huge amount of users, many people as stated in the article that they "they want to keep their personal and professional networks separate." Also, many companies that do get employees out of Facebook say that they only count up for 1% worth of hires "Facebook's use as a job-recruitment tool remains small, but its appeal may be growing". There are many networks that can help people find a job, a lot of people are out there job hunting. My dad recently put in a lot of applications at many hospitals online and a lot of places such as Smiths only hire online too. Although some companies like to use Facebook to hire people due to referrals, I don't think that's a good place to hire people just because the people on Facebook don't go on to look for a job and because of how Facebook is nowadays, I think that it's a mess with the dashboard and too open for a business to look into the life of someone they could potentially hire. Social media and work should stay separated, there are many places like LinkedIn and BeKnown that are dedicated to finding workers for businesses and also reward employees for referring people through these sites. It's something to keep in mind when companies need to find some workers. "Candidates have been 50% more likely to apply to positions they found through Facebook than through other
means, said Mr. Staney. "[Job boards] just blast it out. This is much more efficient and targeted," he said.

Week 3 EOC: My Demographics

There are three types of demographics, there are the Baby Boomers, Generation X, and the Millennial generation.

The Millennial ranges from 1977 to 2000 so I fit into this group because I was born in 1997. I am also a millennial due to my fluent use of technology, being able to use them and understand how they work are key. My parents usually always have problems with our computer, printer or tv and its up to me or my sister to help them. 91% of millennials are on the world wide web, and I fit into that because I am constantly looking up things and playing games online. I realize how true our textbook is on how that businesses and marketers have to appeal in a creative and certain way to get attention. Each generation grew up differently, my generation grew up as interracial and we watched our technology grew to the quality it is today.

Week 3 EOC: Making Money for Good

Companies need a stable income and amount of product to sell. When they grow more, to raise publicity and reputation they sometimes give back to the community. Here are some companies that give back and how.

One company is skyline socks, they specialize in socks and when a pair is purchased, they send a free pair to someone in that same city.

TripAdvisor is another company that gives back well. Lunch is given to employees three times a week, on those days the money that workers would spend on lunch gets donated to a charity they agree on. The employees at TripAdvisor are also deep in community service and has their own charity to offer grants.

Here is an excerpt from software company Atlassian: "Sydney-based Atlassian creates innovative products for software developers and project managers. But it's equally dedicated to building up communities worldwide.
Partnering with charities like Room to Read, Atlassian donates $10 of every software starter license to help build libraries in developing countries. “Be the change you seek" is one of Atlassian's core values, and as such, the company is constantly looking for ways to improve its company, its products, the environment, and the world around it. “Of all the companies I’ve worked for, I’ve never come across one that so closely matches its mission statement to everyday practices,” says senior design manager Jurgen Spangl."

You don’t have to be rich to give back and you don’t have to retire to spend every day doing what you love. You can find profit, passion, and meaning all at once—right now.
